At the close of last weekend’s Sundance Film Festival, attendees got a sneak peek at one the most highly anticipated movies of the summer. Audiences were treated to a preview of jOBS, the biopic about Apple’s enigmatic co-founder Steve Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher as Jobs and Josh Gad as Apple’s other co-founder, Steve Wozniak.

Wozniak (or Woz) happened to be on hand to watch the clip, after which Gizmodo reached out to him for his reaction. He responded by saying he and Jobs “never had such interaction and roles” and that from what he could tell the “personalities are very wrong.”

Criticism from a man who knew Jobs intimately from the beginning and understood the motivations and thoughts behind their early work on Apple Computers doesn’t exactly inspire confidence that jOBS will be an accurate portrayal. Woz did follow up by saying jOBS is “just a movie” and even though the clip was “totally wrong” it was one scene out of many.

In the following segment from Book Passage, Woz reflects on the true story of founding Apple Computers with Jobs and their desire to build a machine that was “going to change the world.”
